ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Politics and governance of natural resources are two topical issues of enormous concern to scholars, policymakers, and civil society. Africa is richly endowed with natural resources, yet critics continue to ask why these resources have not translated into sustainable development.
The 1st International Conference on Advancing Politics & Governance for Sustainable Development seeks to provide a platform for dialogue, research exchange, and collaboration among leading academics, policymakers, and practitioners. With the theme:
“Politics, Resource Governance and Sustainable Development in Africa,”
the conference will critically examine the complex linkages between governance, resource management, and sustainable growth.
The conference will feature keynote addresses, paper presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions that aim to:
Explore the challenges of governance in Africa’s resource sectors.
